Why This Site Exists
Every day, many people type "Rissian" when they mean Russian — the i and u keys sit next to each other, and the word is often spelled the way it sounds. They are looking for things like the Russian manicure, the White Russian cocktail, the Russian Blue cat, or how to say hello and thank you in Russian.
Rissian.com is an independent educational website written for those readers. Each page takes a common "Rissian" search, says plainly that it refers to the Russian subject, and then gives a short direct answer followed by accurate background, practical steps and answers to common questions. We also point out when something called "Russian" does not actually come from Russia — the White Russian cocktail, Russian dressing and Russian sage are good examples.
